Robert Shaw Theme School Reviews

RSTS is an awesome school because of the teachers and parents. If you think about it you are your child's first teacher and having a teacher that really cares for your child plays a very important role in their education. Teachers and parents keep up the great work!

I have two kids that attend RSTS along with my cousin. I really love RSTS down from the principal to the kids. The level of teaching the kids is excellencent. I would recommend RSTS to any parent. My oldest son (going to the 2nd grade) is in the chess club (9th place in the national this year April 2008 the only elementary school at the tournment way to go tigers) and the gifted program. The youngest is following right behind him. The mandortary parent involvement I love. We are looking forward to this year. Way to go Ms. Frison, the staff and the kids. TNewton

My son has really advanced at Robert Shaw. When he was at his other school he was not challanged enough. Now he is learning more and enjoying it. I love the teachers and the administration. Nothing can compare to Robert Shaw.

My two children have attended Robert Shaw for the past four years. The entire school provides an excellent learning environment for all students. It is really important to be an intricate part of this school community.

My daughter has been attending Robert Shaw Theme School since she was in Pre-K. She has learned so much over tyhese past 3 years. Robert teachers and staff are excellent. You can tell they really enjoy their job. I also loved the parent volunteer service, and Mrs. Frison gets a 10. I am proud to be a Robert Shaw parent! Way to go tigers!

My two children attend this school. I wish that Theme schools were the norm for all levels of schooling. This is truly the best kept secret in DeKalb County! The principal has received honors from the governor. The teachers prepare the students for middle school in grades 2 and beyond! The Discovery program has exceeded all my expectations. They are the kindest and most patient teachers and administrators I have ever worked with, in regards to my children's education. The expectations are high for parents. Finally, a school that holds parents accountable for participating in their child's academic success! My application acceptance into this school has truly been a blessing!

I have two kids that attend RSTS. The teachers are very patient with the students and do expect nothing less than 100 percent at all times. I think that administration is very approachable and works in juction with the parents to provide a balance of educational and social excellence. R. Freeman

I was not impressed with the teachers, principle and assistant principle at Robert Shaw. They were not very friendly, they would not say hello when you come to the school. I will not recommend thus school to anyone and my son will not return.

Our daughter came from a private school before attending Robert Shaw Theme School. Making a decision to have her attend Robert Shaw was one of the best decision we have ever made. She will be attending Middle School next school year and my husband and I both wish she could remain at Robert Shaw. I feel this school provides a safe environment and an excellent quality of education for students. The teachers are wonderful with the students and are there for parents when needed. The counselor is also a great person and understands the students/parents point of views. The principal knows the parents and sudents by name and I feel she displays a positive attitude, which makes a difference in a parent(s) and a child's life. The parent invovlement is great! Overall, the staff are wonderful people at Robert Shaw. My child has had a great experience.

This is my sons first year at Robert Shaw and I must admit I'm very impressed with the faculty and staff. I like the fact that the school requires and encourages parent participation.

Both my children attend RSTS. The principal is very collaborative and the faculty as a whole is dedicated to the education and well being of all the children. I cannot say enough about my experiences at this school and would recommend it to any parent who wants a good learning environment where respect for self and others, and high academic achievement is a key component.
