Hope Elementary School Reviews

John hope is a blessing to the kids and the parents. This school has been around 4 a long time my dad went here so did i. The learning experience is wonderful as will. The principle is ok i liked mrs sims better ,shes more a people person that take out the time to help the teachers and parents with there concerns. Since mrs. Sims has gone, half of the teachers have left are they r on edge i donot like her much but the teaching is wonderful

Hope Elementary School, and its surrounding neighborhood, has made numerous changes in the last few years, resulting in significant school improvements. It has been named a Title 1 Distinguished School, having made Adequate Yearly Progress consistently. Additionally, the school has made the targets set forth by the Atlanta Public school system at large. Part of what makes this school special is its sense of community. Small class size allows the students to receive small group instruction, enrichment, or remediation if needed. The teachers work to meet the needs of every student who enters the classroom, using differentiated, research based best practices. Our new principal's vision is to prepare students to be professionals in the future. To that end, professional dress, behavior and academic rigor/achievement is expected. We have found that our students are willing and able to rise to that expectation. T

I think hope elem. has a great school atmosphere. I have a sone that is special needs and they have always been there to help and to show me how to learn with my child and his learning. I do feel that the teachers need someone in the class that is better equipt to handle the childern and to encourage the kids to want to learn without you hearing something from other parents and staff memebers. I want to say that my sons teacher Mr. Townsend did great with the resources that he was given in the class room and outside. I think more acemdemics are needed as well as communication with the parents as well.
