Cleveland Elementary School Reviews

Excellent teaching staff, doing a power point presentation at 10 years of age, way to go Cleveland Ave., keep up the great job. And I love it.

I'm a teacher myself so I have a couple of different perspectives of Cleveland Ave. Elementary. My children transferred from Fulton Co. and they have improved by leaps and bounds. This past year my children participated and placed in the science fair, performed in several musical programs (both on and off campus), & were involved in a very active girl scout troop. Their reading and math scores also improved greatly. There were also several opportunities for parent involvement as well. Last year the PTA was not very active, but I'm sure that will change this year, because I am committed to being much more involved. The faculty and staff at Cleveland Ave. take great pride in making sure that the students behave with respect and dignity.

Poor Middle School prep. Administration should set example and higher standards for students

my daughter is 6 year and started out at this school in september of 2004 did not know to much about this school unitil she start going there my daughter progress at home was good because i do my best to work with her and i knowest that her progress was not doing to good like it should, so i took me a visit to the school to see what was going on and i sit back and listen and observe her teacher while she talk, and i feel that the teacher don,t work with a slow pace to help the children they work on a fast pace and thats not helping the children, but what i doing is working with my daugther with different program to help her to develop the skill she need to help try to keep her on her grade level

My oldest son who is now 10 started out at Cleveland at that point I loved the school but now I hate it they do not offer the kids anything academic and they teaching process is slow compared to other Atlanta Schools, they test scores are low and I'm just really disappointed, my youngest son is now in the 1st grade and this will be his last year here, I will be doing a lot of research to get both of them in a good school, Middle and Elementary even if I have to relocate to do so, a lot of changes need to be made at Cleveland!
